ClassGraphic Hormones are chemical messengers that coordinate our physiology and behavior with our external world. In recent decades, researchers have gained extensive knowledge about their beauty and complexity. This class will explore the role of hormones in helping animals (and that includes us) adapt to new environments, in stimulating or suppressing appetite, and in promoting monogamy or pair bonding. The content of the course is intended to be accessible and engaging to those with or without a background in science.
