What about membership?
A $65 annual membership fee is required to participate in OLLI programs. Your membership must be in effect through the last date of the class(es) you have chosen. Membership payments may be made at any time and/or during registration for a class(es). Memberships are non-refundable.
  • Registration Options:
    • Join or renew your membership at https://uriolli.augusoft.net/.  You may pay with your credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and ACH. (American Express is unavailable.)
    • Download the membership form and mail to OLLI at URI, 210 Flagg Road, Room 212, Kingston, RI 02881, 
    • Call the OLLI office at 401-874-4197
    •  Visit us in person.

What about class registration?
 You can self-register for classes when the semester opens at https://uriolli.augusoft.net/.
  • Login or create an account.
  • Browse all classes. (Upper right-hand corner)
  • Choose class / Add to Cart
  • Click Shopping Cart at top right-hand corner of screen. 
  •  Check out & make a payment.
  • In person: check or credit card.  
  • By Mail: see above.
    • Please note that your seat in class is not guaranteed until we receive payment.

What’s the refund policy?
  • Memberships and Gift Cards are non-refundable.
  • To withdraw from a class and receive a refund or credit, you must notify the OLLI office at least two weeks prior to the start of class.  Notify the OLLI by email olli@uri.edu or call 874-4197.  
  • No-shows forfeit their course fees. 
  • Day trips and special tours are prepaid, so there are no refunds for cancellation or withdrawal.
  • Classes that do not meet minimum student registration numbers are subject to cancellation.
  • OLLI follows the University’s policy of canceling classes for certain holidays and because of inclement weather.
Are classes ever canceled?
Occasionally, we must cancel courses that do not meet enrollment minimums. We typically make that call one week before the class start date, and we will notify you by phone or email.  We would issue you a full refund if you paid with a credit card. If you paid by check, a credit voucher will be issued to you.

What happens if there is bad weather?
OLLI follows the URI's weather policy. If the University is closed due to a holiday or inclement weather, OLLI will be closed.  Information about the University closings is available through the local news outlets and on the URI webpage. In the event that classes are canceled, we will have a recorded message on our main number 401-874-4197. You will also be notified by email. 

Are there additional fees for my class?
Please check the detail information for your course to determine if a materials fee, textbook, or pre-requisites are required and how to pay them.  

How do I print a receipt?
To print a receipt, sign in and select "My Transactions" from the menu bar on the left side of the screen and locate the class. Under "Action", select "Print View" and print your receipt. Upon payment of your membership and/or class a receipt is also emailed to you. 

Can I register for a class that is full?
All classes have a maximum class size that must be adhered to. If you wish to be considered for registration in a class that is currently full, you can request to be added to a waiting list by signing in online and clicking “Add to the Waiting List” link for the class that is full. If an opening becomes available, you will be notified to finalize your registration with payment. Placing your name on a waiting list does not guarantee a spot in the class.

How will I know if I got into a class?
This will depend on how you register.
  • On-line:  After completing your credit card or ACH (electronic check) payment, you are registered and will receive a class confirmation and transaction receipt via email.
  • By Phone: You will receive an email confirmation and transaction receipt once your registration is processed. If you do not provide an email address, we do not send a confirmation by mail. You can confirm your registration by calling 874-4197 or emailing us at olli@uri.edu
  • In person: If you pay in person by credit card you will receive a receipt and class information on how to access your account on-line to see what classes you are registered in.
How can I become an instructor?
We are always looking to add new, qualified teaching faculty to our staff.  Qualifications for OLLI faculty include subject matter expertise, and a passion for sharing your knowledge. To submit a course proposal, please visit https://web.uri.edu/olli/course-proposal/.

How do I find out if I have credit voucher on my account from a canceled class?  
Log into your account. Go to your dashboard or select menu. Select My Transactions.

How do I see if I am on a Waiting List.  
Log into your account. Go to your dashboard or select Menu. Select My Waiting List
 
How do I see what classes I am currently registered for?
Log into your account. Go to your dashboard or select Menu. Select Current Registrations.

 
How do I use my credit voucher?
When you Check Out, your electronic credit vouchers will automatically be applied to your order.
 
How do I change my password?
Log into your account. Go to your dashboard or select Menu. Select My Profile. You can update your address, password, email address and any other information.
