This is a class for garden enthusiasts wanting to plan a new garden or redesign an old one. Whether you want to block a view, create a colorful and inviting sanctuary, invite butterflies and birds to your yard, or simply experiment with using plants in new ways, this class will help you plan so you can be ready to implement your idea this spring or summer. You’ll get help deciding where a garden can be located, learn about your site conditions, and how to select and place plants in the garden. Class participation is encouraged. There will be short optional homework assignments, and a possible visit to a local nursery to learn about plants that are right for your garden.
