ClassGraphic “A sad tale's best for winter.” This course will unpack The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare. With its unique blend of tragedy, comedy, and romance, we will follow its journey from regrettable jealousy and separation, to miraculous reconciliation, and joyous reunion. Class discussions will center on key thematic elements, iconic scenes, directorial and acting choices, and the transformative power of time and forgiveness. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to see The Winter's Tale as a living theatrical work with an optional visit to Trinity Rep for a professional production of the play.
