« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Few women realize that they are 10 times more likely to die of heart disease than breast cancer. Women with heart disease may present with different symptoms than men, they may not benefit from treatments to the same extent as men, and their risk factors for developing heart disease may differ from those of men. This course will give you the tools to keep your heart healthy. We will focus on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, with an emphasis on understanding risk factors, the anatomy/pathology of the heart, and the differences in heart disease between women and men.
