ClassGraphic In this two-session course we will look at dance from multiple perspectives to try and capture its powerful expressive force. By using a framework for viewing from LMA (Laban Movement Analysis) and learning the contexts and background of the dances we watch, an entry point for discovery will open to more fully enjoy the experience. Plentiful examples of filmed dance performances will be shared that demonstrate core elements. Diving into the joyful pleasure of a wide range of dance genres and practice, we will be entertained, challenged, awed, and amused, as we learn about the multi-layered nonverbal experience that is dance.
