A Deeper Dive into Understanding and Communicating Challenging Emotions

« back to classes page
ClassGraphic In this class, take a deep dive into four challenging emotions and get concrete tools for how to navigate them within yourself and with others. Explore and begin to understand what is meant by “emotional self-talk”, how it causes biological reactions that freeze us into repeated patterns of behavior, and then learn and practice some new approaches. The four emotions identified will be examined one per class, 1) Fear, 2) Shame, 3) Anxiety, 4) Anger. Working in pairs and as a group, we’ll practice making self-talk more conscious and learn to substitute a new language of self-compassion.
