"Jump, Jive & Wail:" Swing in American Music

ClassGraphic From the Blues to Gospel, Rock & Roll to Jazz, Country & Western to Popular music, at one time swing was all the rage. It was exciting to listen to, dance to, and dress to. Whether you can still Lindy Hop or not, still have your Zoot Suit or gave it to Goodwill years ago, don’t worry, and join us for a great course that will feature some of the best musicians ever. From its roots in the 1920s to its revival in the 1990s, swing has always been the thing.

We’ll listen to and watch artists like Cab Calloway, Louis Prima, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and many others. Come ready to swing every week!
