ClassGraphic The day the music died was Feb.3, 1959 when a plane crash took the lives of Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens. In 1971 Don McLean's song "American Pie" entered our collective consciousness, and over 50 years later remains one of the most discussed, dissected and debated songs that popular music has ever produced. Come and join me as we together try to solve the meaning of the lyrics of this iconic song.
