ClassGraphic This summer the Kingston Chamber Music Festival (KCMF) is offering a unique opportunity to OLLI members. Whether you are an aficionado of chamber music or wish to dip your toe into something new, you will meet selected world-class musicians and hear both traditional and non-traditional compositions. Learn the difference between chamber and symphonic music, why musicians chose their instrument, and whether they get performance anxiety.

The musicians selected to lead this class are members of In Triplicate, a new trio of internationally acclaimed musicians, violinist Jasmine Lin, cellist Clancy Newman, and bassist Nate Farrington, who compose and arrange their own music. While the members of In Triplicate are classically trained, their insatiable desire for invention leads them far outside of the classical realm, with forays into jazz, bluegrass, funk, rock, paper, scissors, and Martian. Together these unique perspectives form a rich concert experience full of surprises, while always radiating accessibility and freshness.

The class will also include advanced string players from the Kingston Chamber Music Festival summer camp creating an intergenerational experience.
