« back to classes page
ClassGraphic You have likely heard many points of view, pro and con, about the development of offshore wind farms off the New England coast. URI oceanographer Barbara K. Sullivan-Watts, who holds a 50-year perspective on the changing climate and its impact on local marine ecosystems, will draw on her own scientific research and that of others to discuss common questions, including: Why now? Why here? Are windfarms an efficient form of renewable energy? Do they harm whales or other marine species or birds? How will they benefit or harm people?
