ClassGraphic Let's take apart some basics to creating imagery in watercolor. Aimed at the novice, exercises and demonstrations will cover a wide range of practical and playful approaches to painting. In a watercolor journal we'll record our explorations and experiments to build a practical guide for creating more finished paintings. Steps include: Observation; compose light and shadow; sketch in pencil; mix colors from primaries; mop on washes; and brush techniques in addition to innovating new media and tools. Learn simple strategies that apply to objects, figures, still life or landscapes.
