Not All Superheroes: An Intro to Graphic Novels

ID : 1347
« back to classes page
ClassGraphic Comics and graphic novels are more mainstream than they’ve ever been, leaving the dusty corners of the local comic shop and finding their place in bookstores and library shelves across the country. What they are about has grown in scope as well. While DC, Marvel, and other big comics publishers are still putting out stories about superheroes, there are stories that cover all genres being published in this format. We’ll be introduced to the world of comics and graphic novels outside of superhero stories. We’ll cover a brief history of graphic novels, how to read a graphic novel, and some of the common types of graphic novels that are currently being published, with reading recommendations.
