Protected land, what does that mean, how does it get that way, and who does it benefit. Join South Kingstown Land Trust (SKLT) Executive Director, Julia Landstreet in a two-part exploration in the classroom and at the 100-acre protected Weeden Farm on Matunuck Beach Road, home to the Land Trust headquarters.

First we will meet in a classroom setting to review the process, parcels, and particulars of the over 175 parcels protected by SKLT. Our second meeting will be held, rain or shine, at Weeden Farm where we will get out and explore the many benefits and uses of protected land first hand. Participants will need to be able to navigate an uneven walking path as we set out around the fields after a brief tour of the facilities and equipment.
