Dickens A Christmas Carol

Let’s read and discuss Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol this holiday season! Join me for a one-session class in which we will learn about and discuss Dickens’s classic Christmas tale. The class will provide historical and literary context for the Carol in relation to Dickens’s career, the making of Christmas traditions, and the Christmas ghost story. Most importantly, this will be a discussion-based meeting in which we share our thoughts and insights about the book, which is both extraordinarily familiar and has plenty of strangeness and surprises still to offer.
