ClassGraphic Clouds Hill is an 1872 Gothic Victorian summer home in the Cowesett section of Warwick, RI. Built as a wedding present for Elizabeth Ives Slater by her father, William Smith Slater, it has passed through 4 generations of women owners. The presentation takes you through the house, explaining all of the workings - which were considered highly advanced for the period. Furnishings, interior decoration, family possessions, and the services - gas lighting, convection heating. The second class is a tour of the estate.
