OLLI Volunteer opportunity at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank
August 26, from 12:30PM - 3:00PM
Join OLLI members for an impactful opportunity to combat food insecurity throughout our state. The Rhode Island Projects in their warehouse vary from week to week, but volunteers typically help with one of the following:
- Meals4Kids boxes to be distributed to school-aged students throughout Rhode Island
- Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes to be distributed to low-income residents age 60+
- Sorting and repackaging bulk produce
- Inspecting, sorting and preparing donated food items for distribution

Note: Volunteers should be comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs, however they can accommodate restrictions if necessary.
Parking: There is a parking lot at the Food Bank with plenty of spaces.
