Sepsis: What to Know about Prevention, Treatment, and Survival

ClassGraphic Sepsis is as dangerous as a heart attack or stroke and requires prompt medical treatment. Sepsis occurs when the immune system overreacts to any type of infection. This class will include medical information and stories of Rhode Islanders who have experienced sepsis so that participants can learn how to prevent sepsis, how to recognize its signs and symptoms, how it is treated, and what resources exist for survivors.
