CourseGraphic Have you ever asked yourself how ecosystems work? Ever wondered about the changes that have occurred in our environment in the nearly 400 years since the Pilgrims landed? Do you want to understand how a food chain fits into a food web, or a population fits into a community? We will cover each of these intriguing questions as well as additional relevant topics. First, we’ll examine the basics of ecological systems, including biotic/abiotic factors, trophic levels, and food chains/food webs. Next, we’ll focus on plant and animal succession, while the final classes will explore how populations change over time.
