ClassGraphic This course examines the science behind The Martian and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, using them as case studies to explore real-world physics, chemistry, astronomy, and problem-solving. Students will critically evaluate what the stories get right and where fiction diverges from reality. Readings and film viewings are completed outside of class; class time is devoted to student-led, discussion-based analysis driven by prepared questions, fostering scientific reasoning, curiosity, and collaborative inquiry.
