Note: The second session will take place outdoors at a local coastal wildlife preserve, the exact locale to be determined. We’ll be walking about a half mile on relatively flat and wide trails (not wheelchair accessible) in search of migrating animals, from Monarch butterflies and dragonflies, to, of course, birds, as well as the wildflowers that can fuel their travels. Since the terrain is likely to vary from beach sand to muddy pond edges, please wear appropriate waterproof shoes or boots and long pants. We’ll discuss bug- and tick-proofing strategies in our first class.
