ClassGraphic This course is for those folks who like to sing music of the sea. Along with B.J. Whitehouse, a former instructor with the Mystic Seaport sea shantey class, we'll sing work songs, ballads, forebitters, and play some music that may have been heard on a 19th-century sailing vessel. Students are invited to bring along instruments and ideas for songs. B.J. will provide some opportunities to work with a block-and-tackle and other simple machines that would have been found on a sailing vessel.
