ClassGraphic The ‘70s, referred by many as the “me” decade, was a time of self-discovery and newly manifested individualism as people became more dissatisfied with wars and politics. The tumultuous decade was highlighted by anti-war demonstrations, Watergate, women’s rights and the ERA, the Iranian hostage crisis, Sky Lab, pet rocks, mood rings, Kent State, and Nixon’s resignation. In music, we were introduced to disco, as well as a revival of rock and roll. Using a timeline, movie clips and videos, we will witness the events of those years and the music that affected our lives and changed the world around us.
