ClassGraphic You are invited to a discussion of letters: the ones we’ve received or inherited, what they’ve meant to us, and what we need to do with them now. (Oh, no!) The ones we have to write (again? oh, no!!!), and how to get (and give) the most pleasure or solace from writing them. The ones we read (in fiction or nonfiction, poetry or prose), what they reveal (or hide), and how they do it. Come ready to discuss The Correspondent, by Virginia Evans, and at least two letters you write or discover in other sources. (Only literary critics read collected letters, according to James Thurber, and anybody else who says he does is a liar. True or false?)
